Robert Lee Bidelspach, 90, of Sunbury, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
He was born in Northumberland, on June 19, 1930, the son of the late Benjamin Isaac and Anna (Ruch) Bidelspach.
 He was married to Coralee (Heim) on August 14, 1955, until her death in 1998. Together, they raised six children.
After his military service in the Army, he was employed by Kepler Brother's Trucking and Professional Drivers Academy located in Milton until he retired in 1994. Retirement wasn't for him, so he found a job he loved with R.L. Campbell Excavating, Sunbury, and worked until 2004.

In June 2001, he married his long time friend and neighbor, Barbara (Carpenter) Robatin until her death in 2018. With their marriage, an additional three stepsons and one stepdaughter were added to his family.

Robert (Bob) (Pop-Pop) was a long time, faithful member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Sunbury. He was an active member and served several terms as president of the Mount Pleasant Community Organization. He was a lifelong member of the Upper Augusta Volunteer Fire Company. He never met a stranger and truly loved getting to know people. He will be remembered for his singing, his infectious smile, and his kind heart. 

Robert is survived by four sons and two daughters, Robert L. Bidelspach Jr. of Sunbury, Jeffrey A. and Daisy Bidelspach of Sunbury, Denise Finan of Milton, Gregory A. and Mona Bidelspach of Selinsgrove, Daniel A. Bidelspach of Columbus, Ohio, and Jodee and Eric Aucker of Winfield; three stepsons and one stepdaughter and their spouses, Richard A. and Heidi Robatin of Sunbury, Daniel J. and Gina Robatin of Selinsgrove, and David F. and Kristin Robatin of Sunbury, and Deborah A. (Robatin) and Dale Plummer of Media; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Caskey and Marion Hester Schrawder, both from Northumberland, and Beatrice Grace Kern of Sunbury.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, five brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Ann and Jay Bacon of West Chillisquaque Township, Wilma Odelia Bidelspach of Northumberland, Benjamin (Frank) and Norma Bidelspach of Mifflinburg, Mary Ruth and Ira Hartman of Sunbury, Robert Schrawder of Northumberland, Charles and Nancy Bidelspach of Sunbury and Ray Kern of Sunbury.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
Arrangements by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, Pa.
