Mrs. Reba Ellen White Adams, 86, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday night, March 23, 2021, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Adams was born May 7, 1934, in Surry County, one of eight children born to the late Dillard and Pearlie Alice Beamer White. Reba was a homemaker and a faithful member of Westview Baptist Church. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Ellen Adams of Mount Airy; two grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Harold Dillman, Jr. of Walnut Cove and Judson and Stacie Adams of King; four great-grandchildren, Brittany Doby, Kirsten Doby, Holden Adams, and Olivia Adams; a great-great-grandchild, Jackson Hill; an expectant great-great-grandchild, William Wood (due May 2021); her loving nieces and nephews; a lifelong friend, Virginia Cave; and special friends and neighbors, Shelby Woodie and Sue McCreary. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Winford Reid Adams; two sisters, Nada Collins and Carolee Cook; and five brothers, Billy Sam White, Herman White, Junior White, Andy White, and Millard White. The funeral service will be held Friday, March 26, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Darren Slate officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Additionally, family and friends may pay their respects on Friday morning beginning at 7:30. Due to public health concerns, attendees are requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westview Baptist Church, 96 Virgilina Circle, Cana, VA 24317.
