Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Holden Tolley Bishop and Lila Belle Henderson Bishop and Ida Bishop.
Mr. Bishop proudly served his country in the United States Army. He attended Truth Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his family, his country and most of all The Lord.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by daughters, Vanessa Cagle and her husband, Ken of Charlotte, NC and Kaley Dae Bishop of the home; stepdaughter, Kimberly Bishop and her husband, Brian of Easley; stepson, Don Gilreath and his wife, Angie of Greer; grandchildren, Matthew, Tyler, Lila, Lacey, and Hannah; great grandchildren, Ava, Eli, Mia, Kai, Aiden, Emery, and Charity; sisters; Mildred Campbell, Linda Hill, Lee Hall, Sandra Stone, and Debbie Lane; brothers, David, Jimmy and Buddy Bishop; and a special friend of the family, Cindy Bishop.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, David Holden Bishop; sisters, Gladys Keplinger, Grace Stribling, and Judy Grumbles; brothers, Bobby, Larry, Clyde, James and Rev. Charles Bishop.
Burial in Graceland Cemetery West.
