Barry James Hill, 62, of New Columbia, passed away Tuesday morning, March 23, 2021, at Geisinger Medical Center.
A native of Sunbury, he was born November 13, 1958, a son of the late Milford M and Dolores (Eplett) Hill.
He was a graduate of the Lewisburg High School in the class of 1976. Barry was a correctional officer and Graphic Arts Instructor at the Federal Bureau of Prisons from 1982 until 2010.
Barry was active in scouting as Scout Master, Cub Master, and was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was active in the New Columbia Civic Association with the Applebutter program.
He is survived by a son, Christopher (Fiance Nicole) Hill of Lewisburg; a granddaughter, Adelaide; and a brother, Lonnie (Linda) Hill of Lewisburg, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives will be received at the John H Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and 8th streets, Saturday afternoon from 1-2 p.m. when the funeral will begin.
Burial will follow in the Lewisburg Cemetery
