Marjorie was born to Elmer and Frances Boehs on November 13, 1934. She left this world for her eternal home on March 19, 2021 at the age of 86 years.

Throughout her life she carried fond memories of growing up in a happy family and attending Progressive School in rural Oklahoma.

She found forgiveness for her sins and treasured the experience she had of seeing her name in the Lamb's Book of Life. On March 28, 1947 she was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. She embraced this faith unto the end.

She married Delbert Hiebert on March 14, 1954, and they recently shared their 67th wedding anniversary. Mom often expressed her thankfulness that Dad was so good to her. They were blessed with a family of four children, and each grandchild was special to them also.

Dad was ordained to the deaconry in 1965, and Mom found fulfillment in working by his side. She reached out to the needs she saw around her in a caring way. Having a heart for those younger than her, she was never too old to be their friend.

In the middle of our home was a kitchen table where we enjoyed simple meals. This table also served as a writing table. It was there that Mom would jot down inspirations while writing one of her essays, religious articles or books.
Our mother treasured the simple things, the view through her kitchen window, the flowers in her garden, a cup of tea with a friend.

As life slowed down in her sunset years, she had a greater longing for her heavenly home. We will miss the light shining in her window, but we are looking forward to meeting her again. We as a family are thankful for the excellent care given to her at Maple View Assisted Living Home, Ithaca, MI, during the last year of her life.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Delbert; children, Joleen Koehn, Kevin (Kris) Hiebert all of Middleton, MI; Kandra (Barry) Koehn, Goltry, OK and Karalee (Keith) Unruh, Red Oak, IA; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Her siblings: Virginia (Alton) Unruh, Greensburg, KS; Milton (LaVerda) Boehs, Lakin, KS; Polly (Robert) Schneider, Perrinton, MI; Elaine (James) NIghtengale, Scott City, KS; Kendall (Rosanna) Boehs, Mountain Grove, MO: and Maureen (Denton) Koehn, Ulyssess, KS.

Those who have gone on before are her parents, her brother, Stanley, her son-in-law, Richard Koehn and a great-granddaughter, Marilla Yost.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at the Wildwood Mennonite Church with Ministers Darin Litwiller, Michael Litwiller, and Denton Koehn officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the church. Burial will take place at the Wildwood Mennonite Cemetery.

Those desiring, may make contributions in Marjorie's memory to Maple View Retirement Community, Luce Road, Ithaca, MI .
