Aurelie Gertrude Cuthbert Taylor was born Rome, Georgia and raised in Rossville, Georgia. Her father was a doctor and two of her sisters along with Aurelie entered into the medical field. Aurelie was a registered nurse. She married Champion Gould and lived in Savannah, Georgia until Champ died. She then married William Oscar Taylor Sr. They both worked at the ship yard building Liberty ships for the war. Years later they moved to Sylvania, Georgia and lived on the Taylor farm the rest of their lives.
