Vivian Herring, 89, widow of Leslie Herring passed away at home after a brief illness.
Vivian was born in Lake City to the late Bertie and Samuel McCutcheon. She was a member of the Lake City First Baptist Church where she served as a past primary Sunday school teacher. Vivian graduated from Lake City High School and attended Columbia College.
Vivian had many loves in her life including the joy of cooking and love of conversation which were shared with her patrons of the Donut Dinette and later the Antique Market. After health issues encouraged retirement, Vivian enjoyed gardening and especially growing roses.
Left to cherish Vivian's memory are children, Vivian Lane (Steve), Tommy Anderson (Maria), and Becky Anderson; grandchildren, Shanon Lane (Donald Flowers), Michael Lane (Gladney), Ashley Harrell (Austin), and Alyssa Anderson; great-grandchildren, Christian Lane, Jackson Lane, Powers Lane, Teagan Harrell, Tanner Lane, Tristan Harrell, Harvey Lane, and Carroll Lane; brother, Ronnie McCutcheon (JoAnn); many nieces and nephews; and, a dear friend, Joy Fields.
In addition to her parents and husband, Leslie, she was preceded in death by her husband William Anderson and her siblings Samuel McCutcheon, Jr., Sarah Anderson, Dorothy Campbell, Hermas McCutcheon, Rudolph McCutcheon, and Jack McCutcheon.
A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday March 27, 2021 at 11AM in the Lake City Cemetery.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to the team at McLeod Hospice and especially to LaKesha Franks, Betty Wilson, and Sheri who lovingly cared for our mother.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to McLeod Hospice at 1203 Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29501.
