Kenneth Darrell Day, 68, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at a local hospital.

He retired from Duracell where he worked in payroll management after 39 years of service. Darrell was a member of Ball Play Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping, farming and spending time with his granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia James Day; parents, Kenneth and Essie Dills Day; father-in-law, the Reverend Jack James; and brother-in-law, the Reverend Herbert Fansler.

Survivors include his children, Brittany Day of Murfreesboro and Dustin (Julie) Day of Cleveland; grandchildren, Callie Day and Laura Day of Cleveland; sister, Mary Fansler; mother-in-law, Bonita James; niece, Tanna (Eddie) Whaley; and two nephews, Tracy (Becky) Fansler and Darren (Tammy) Fansler.

The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Ball Play Baptist Church with the Reverend Matthew Harris, the Reverend Darren Fansler and the Reverend Steve Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Ball Play Baptist Church Cemetery with Eddie Whaley, Paul Bivens, David Hawkins, Dakota Fansler, Devin Fansler and Coleby Hooker serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Ogle and Junior Keith.
