James David Brock, 93, of Richardson, Texas passed away on March 16, 2021 in Richardson, Texas. He was born on July 30, 1927 to Logen Glenn Brock and Marie Rodenberger in Indianapolis, Indiana.

James David Brock, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on July 30, 1927, passed away on March 16, 2021, at the age of 93, in Richardson, Texas.

Jim attended Purdue University graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Engineering. He served in the United States Army during World War II where he earned the Victory Medal.

Jim married his wife, Doris Miller, in 1955. They raised their two sons, David and Loren, in Richardson, Texas, where they lived in the same house for over 63 years. He was a proud member of Northway Christian Church in Dallas for many years singing in their choir. In particular, Jim moved many with his rendition of "O Holy Night", year after year, on Christmas Eve.

Jim loved golf and practiced using his engineering mind… He gave up playing for many years to support and watch his boys play any sport that involved movement or a ball. Jim also loved and excelled at singing. Not only did he sing at church, but he also performed with the world-traveled, Purdue Glee Club. Finally, Jim never met a stranger and made friends with most around him.
