Mr. Richard “Dickie” Day died peacefully in his home on March 21, 2021, in Baton Rouge, LA at the age of 77. Richard is survived by his wife Charlotte, one son Mitchell Day, two daughters Allison Huval (Chase) and Christy Day, grandchildren Cody, Aiden, Owen, Axel, Cruz, Violet, and Amelia and 4 sisters Shirley Woods (PM), JoGail Nettles (Sonny), Mary Edmonson (Norris), Rose Gardner (Ron) and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, brother John Charles Day, son Richard Day, and grandson Reed Englehart.
Mr. Day was born August 20, 1943, in Rosetta, MS. He was the son of Gertrude and John Henry Day. Richard was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all of those who loved him.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2021, from 12-2 pm at Brown Funeral Home of Gloster, MS. a service will follow at 2 pm and be proceeded with burial at Rosetta Cemetery.
