James "Jimmy" Edward Clifton, Jr. was born on May 6, 1956 in Warren, OH. He passed away on March 3, 2021 in Cape Girardeau, MO at the age of 64.
Jimmy was a Registered Nurse and retired from Twin Rivers Medical Center in Kennett, MO. He had also worked many years at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, MO.
He was united in marriage to Anna Jones Clifton on March 14, 1997 in Blytheville, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward Clifton, Sr. and Myrna Jackson Clifton, and his first wife, Donna Marie Clifton.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Clifton of Hayti, MO, his children, June Combs and her husband Jason of Hazzard, KY, Nich Clifton and wife Lisa of Richmond, KY, Brandon Onley and his wife Leanna of Alamogordo, NM and Carrie Clifton and her fiance Nathan Davis of Hayti, MO. Three sisters, and one brother, Terry Timbs of Millington, TN, Clifford Clifton of Alma, AR, Jamie Proctor of Olive Branch, MS and Becky Jernigan of Paragould, AR. Five grandchildren, Duke Edward Clifton, Zavier James Bilger, Jane Marie Clifton, Isaiah Onley and Frank Logan Clifton.
Services were held March 9, 2021 at Powell Funeral Home with Eddie Jernign officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele. Pallbearers were Brandon Onley, Nick Clifton, Nathan Davis, Lee Timbs, Timothy Clifton and Jason Craft. Honorary pallbearers were Duke Clifton, Zavior Bilger and Isaiah Onley.
