Harold W. Yates, 80, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away, Sunday, March 21, 2021 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a machine operator for Universal Packaging Company and member of Bluff Avenue Baptist Church.
A family led memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27 at the pavilion at Gilliam Cemetery.
He is survived by two sons, Rick Yates and wife, Sharon of Van Buren and Bryant Yates and wife, Rachel of Greenwood; one daughter, Vicki Gilbert and wife, Amanda Calloway of Greenwood; one sister, Faye Parker of Arkoma, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Margaret Yates of Apple Valley, California, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie Yates, a brother, Jesse Coy Yates and brother-in-law, Elmer “Pete” Parker.
Cremation under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood.
