Mrs. Carolyn Olphelia McElheney Waldrop Rowe, age 87, of Jackson, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 at Westbury Medical Care Home. Mrs. Rowe was born in Jasper County, Georgia on September 10, 1925 to the late Marshall Homer McElheney and the late Mary Myrtle McElheney.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, T. J. Waldrop and Vic Rowe; sons, Tommy Waldrop and Glenn Waldrop; brothers, Earl McElheney, Howell McElheney, Wilbur McElheney, and Richard McElheney; sisters, Sarah Tillman, Billie Jean Minter, and Mildred Kelley. Mrs. Rowe was a homemaker and was a member of Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Rowe is survived by her grandchildren, Melissa and Marshall Maddox of Griffin, Michael Waldrop of Williamson, Lisa Eason of Griffin; five great-grandchildren; sister, Nell Hayes of Macon; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Waldrop Rowe will be conducted on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel. Elder Loyd T. Blair and Mr. Rudy Mangham will officiate. Interment will follow in Sandy Creek Cemetery.
