PONTIAC - Donna J. Cagley, 76 of Pontiac, formerly of Lexington, died at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at Evenglow Lodge in Pontiac.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Martin-Burke Funeral Home in Pontiac, with the Rev. Phillip Icenogle officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in rural Pontiac.
Memorials in Donna's name may be left to the Livingston County Relay for Life or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Donna was born on July 26, 1931, in Pontiac, a daughter of Harold and Hilda (Lee) Orr. She married William "Pete" Cagley on Sept. 20, 1953, in Odell. He preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 1985.
She is survived by four daughters, Debra Cagley of Pontiac, DeAnna Cagley of Springfield, Dorothy (Chris) Kremer of St. Louis and Dawn Cagley of Lexington; a son, Dale (Julia) Cagley of Fairbury; six grandchildren, Jared, Ashley, William and Allison Cagley and Donnie and Anna Kremer; a sister, Shirley Nolan of Pontiac; a brother, Robert (Nancy) Orr of Emington; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two stillborn daughters, Darla and Darlene Cagley; and a brother in infancy.
Mrs. Cagley was a member of First United Methodist Church of Pontiac. She was a caregiver at Martin Luther Home and Evenglow Lodge. She sold Avon for 50 years. She was an honored survivor at the 2005 Relay for Life. Donna was a farm girl from Odell and loved animals, especially cats, and loved taking care of people.
