He was the husband of the late Anne (Dahlen) Bubier . Born in Providence, a son of the late Charles W. and Hope (Mason) Bubier , he had lived in East Providence for many years before moving to Providence two years ago.
He was an associate division counsel for the Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Co., retiring in 1975.
He graduated from Boston University Law School in 1940, Brown University in 1936, and from Classical High School, Class of 1931.
Mr. Bubier was a member of the Audubon Society of Rhode Island, Providence Preservation Society, Rhode Island Historical Society, the Providence Athenaeum, and the Society of Mayflower Descendants. He was also a member of Central Congregational Church, where he served on the permanent diaconate.
He was active for many years with the Narragansett Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and was a trustee of the East Providence Public Library.
He leaves a daughter, Marcia B. Anderson of Bridgewater, N.H.; a son, David A. Bubier of Kingwood, Texas; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held July 12 at 1 p.m. in Wilson Memorial Chapel of Central Congregational Church, Angell Street.
