Rosco was an educator at heart. He worked as a School Principal throughout Michigan. In the late 1960s he began his international career as the Senior High School Principal at the International School in Bangkok Thailand. In 1970, he became the Superintendent of the Carrol Morgan School in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
After "retiring" to Florida in 1981, he was assigned to South Africa and Santiago Chile for short stints as Superintendents in those international schools as well.
His love for travel took him to all 50 states, Mexico, Cuba, Canada. He also traveled to over 15 countries in Europe, Central and South America, approximately 10 countries in Africa, the U.S.S.R., India, Israel, Iran, Japan, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, and his most-beloved Thailand.
If you were ever honored to meet this man-of-the-world you would know that he was one of the most down-to-earth people you would find. My memories of my uncle will include his love for his dogs (the Shu Shus), his love and care for people who were less fortunate, his love for his family and friends, his love for his hometown of East Jordan, his love for travel (especially in Asia), and his love for hot fudge sundaes!
