Esther Lois Glover was born to Lucia A. Glover and Martha E West in Warwick, Oklahoma and after they separated, she was raised by her grandparents George and Lurlean T West along with her uncles and aunts.
Her early education was at Sweethome Elementary and Wellston Dunbar High School and after integration she attended Wellston High School where she graduated in 1960.
Her grandparents made sure that she got a good exposure to Christian principles at an early age Sweethome Baptist church where she was an active member. In 1967 she obeyed the gospel and was baptized into Christ, At the Eastside Church of Christ located at N. E. 36th and Prospect Oklahoma City, OK
In the summer of 1959 she met the love of her life Lloyd J. Davis and they were married September 4th, 1960 and to this union was blessed with four sons; Karl, Bruce, Gary, Steven, and two daughters; Toni and Teri.
Esther was a very loving mother and a help met to her husband, working in the home and in the medical field to help support her family she began as a Nurse Aide then went on to become a Certified Heart Monitor Technician, a Labor and Delivery Scrub Technician at Baptist Hospital and several local hospitals as well. Then in 1980 she began working for Dr. Frank F. Wilson as a nurse in his office.
In 1986 She became a trailing spouse after her husband was transferred to Sacramento, Ca then back to Oklahoma City in 1988; then in 1989 her husband was transferred to Sacramento Ca were they stayed until it was evident that Sacramento Air Logistics Center would be closed. In 1991 her husband was transferred to Warner Robins ALC and due her skill she continued to work in doctors' offices. After becoming disabled she retired in 1996.
Esther was preceded in death by her grandparents George and Lurlean West; her father Lucia Glover, mother Martha West-Youngblood, uncles; Ulysses Eugene, Maurice, Melvin, Hollis, Aunts, Lois Valeria, Le Toria and Vernita; Sister Sherrill Youngblood and Brother Michael Youngblood, Mitchell Youngblood.
Esther is survived by her husband, two special sisters-in-laws Linda K. Davis and Brenda F. Davis both of Oklahoma City, sons; Karl (Sharon) Oklahoma City, MD, Bruce (Barbara) Oklahoma City, Gary (Dionne) Dallas TX, Steven (Latuisha) Oklahoma City, two daughters Toni Oklahoma City, Teri Corona CA, Brothers, Mitchell Youngblood, Wallace Youngblood, Marquette Youngblood, Robert Youngblood all of Oklahoma City, Charles W. Youngblood of Grand Prairie TX, and James Youngblood of Mesquite Tx and Sisters, Marsha Youngblood of Tulsa OK and Roxie Youngblood-McCarrell of Oklahoma city; Eleven grand-children and eight great-grand-children. A host of cousins and many other loving relatives and friends.
