John was born January 2, 1939 to Drew Anderson and Edna Pauline (Clem) Lamb
in Delight, Arkansas. Proceeded in death by parents and brothers Marvin Lamb, Don Lamb,
Larry Lamb, and Richard Lamb

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 62 years Nancy Ellen Anderson Lamb, son
Terry lamb and wife Debi, daughter Carroll Phillips and husband Ray, his grand children
Tawny Lamb, John Eric Lamb, Katherine Koch (Kay Kay), Jordan Alvizo, Shelby Shields
and Jackob Nichols, nine great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren with another
expected in the fall. Also survived by his brother and cherished confidant Sidney (Bud) Lamb
and little sister Paula Valles.

John married the love of his life in June of 1959 in Dallas, Texas. They started their family
and never looked back. John was a member of the Dallas Fire Department for 30 years where
he was an EMT, driver engineer, and was awarded for his role in the safe delivery of a baby at
the firehouse.

John was an avid fisherman at his home on Lake Toledo Bend where he lived in his retirement
for 20 plus years. He loved to travel with his wife and friends. They saw a lot of the USA in their
motor home. One really special trip was to New York City after 911 where he could pay respect
to his fallen brothers of FDNY. They went to Alaska on a cruise, visited Canada via the train rail,
and another very special trip across the USA with his son in an 18 wheeler. He loved that trip so much!

John loved to listen to music (oldies), lay in the bed and "THINK". He earned a degree in AC/Heat after age 50. John was a mentor to most of our friends as we grew up. He was faithful to help those in need. He was a charitable man, a God fearing and loving man, one who believed in forgiveness and second, third....and even more chances. He judged only by the content of ones heart. He believed anyone could be whatever they wanted to be. John was a lifelong member of the Church Of Christ. In the last two years of Johns life, he cherished his little dog "Kosmo", who was priceless to him.
