THOMAS ERIC BLACK, 70, of Dunkirk, Ind., passed away on the morning of Wednesday, March 10, 2021, peacefully at his residence, with his beloved wife of 35 years, Karen, by his side. Born Jan. 17, 1951, in Ludington, Mich., he was the son of Robert and Phyllis Black.

Tom honorably served in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed spending his leisure time fishing, racing, working in the yard, Friday night poker, old cars, his music, a good laugh, a good joke and Miller Lite. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Karen; a daughter, Angie (Kevin) Gumpp; two sons, David (Christina) Barker and Thomas R. Black; four grandchildren, a brother, Stuart Black; sisters, Linda Black, Marcia Sparkman, Joan D. Raza, Barbara Parnin, Connie Rothgeb and Donna Struver; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Mace.

Tom was a kind, honest, fun loving man that led a full and happy life; he was very blessed with so many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert Lee. The family would like to send a special thank you to State of the Heart Hospice for all their kindness and support. A celebration of life is from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Rack & Helen's Bar & Grill, 525 Broadway, New Haven, Ind.
