Tom honorably served in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed spending his leisure time fishing, racing, working in the yard, Friday night poker, old cars, his music, a good laugh, a good joke and Miller Lite. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Karen; a daughter, Angie (Kevin) Gumpp; two sons, David (Christina) Barker and Thomas R. Black; four grandchildren, a brother, Stuart Black; sisters, Linda Black, Marcia Sparkman, Joan D. Raza, Barbara Parnin, Connie Rothgeb and Donna Struver; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Mace.
Tom was a kind, honest, fun loving man that led a full and happy life; he was very blessed with so many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert Lee. The family would like to send a special thank you to State of the Heart Hospice for all their kindness and support.
