Mary Ann Phillips Shoemaker, 90 of Rigby, Idaho, passed away at her home Saturday, March 20, 2021.
She was born December 31, 1930 in Riverside, California to Glen Eldon Phillips Sr. and Louise Florence Hall Phillips. On March 8, 1952, she married Douglas Raymond Shoemaker in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Los Angeles California Temple.
In addition to being a wife and mother, Mary Ann worked in the catalog department for Sears and Robuck for several years. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities, including First Counselor in The Relief Society. Mary Ann loved her dogs. She enjoyed cooking, reading and doing the crossword puzzle in the newspaper. She cherished her friends and enjoyed keeping in touch through Facebook.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Wayne) Baron of Rigby, Idaho; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral services will at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2021 at Eckersell Funeral Home (101 W. Main Street, Rigby). Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
