Linda Woolbright Beck, 80, wife of Furman Beck, of Townville, died Saturday, March 20, 2021 at AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.
Born in Townville, on December 11, 1940, she was a daughter of the late William Benjamin Woolbright and the late Emma Lois Queen Woolbright.
Linda was a 1958 graduate of Townville High School and a graduate of the Carolina School of Commerce where she earned an associate degree in Private Secretarial studies. She worked for many years for T.M. Mayfield Co. and ultimately retired as secretary of the warrant division of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
She and her husband are active members of Townville Baptist Church and she enjoyed working to restore Rock Hill Church, that was built on land given by her grandfather Woolbright. A project that was special to her was to support and establish the Rock Hill Mission Outreach, a ministry for the needy of the community.
She is survived by her husband, Furman Beck, her children, Suzanne Beck, Sharon Beck and Benji Beck (Kristie), her grandchildren, Samuel Graham Franklin, Ella Shaye Eberhart and Marilyn Elise Ridings.
She is also survived by her siblings, Ann Grant (Tommy) and Jack Woolbright.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 2:00pm at Townville Baptist Church, Townville, S.C. Rev. Ted James, Rev. Dr. Bill Hightower and Rev. Dr. Jimmy Boggs will officiate.
