+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ OBITUARY ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Mama Clara was born August 12, 1922 and Yorktown, Texas. She worked hard all her life, survived the Great Depression and lived through some of the hardest years of this country. She had great faith and was a member of Templo Macedonia in South Houston. She lived a long, satisfied life and took her final breath on March 14, 2021. She was a pistol, bottle rocket, and feisty little woman. That’s our mom. No one knew her better than her children. If we were to talk about her to a stranger, you would imagine she was 6 feet tall. She was close to 100 years old and for a very long time, her fire burned very brightly, and because of that feisty fire in that little woman, we her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren draw near to the Almighty. Our mother has passed the torch and that same fire continues to burn in each one of us. Her descendants are that great cloud of witnesses.

We have many memories of our mother in our hearts. Clara was an amazing mother of six. She left three sons and three daughters: Victor and Janet Treviño, Rosie Gutierrez, Eloise and Ernest Escamilla, Joel and Jane Gutierrez, Rachel Loredo and Gilbert Gutierrez. Clara left twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren. Clara left one surviving sister: Lucy Mosqueda. She was pre-deceased by her grandchildren: Brianna Saenz, Roland Laredo, and Stephen Treviño.

Wake service will be held on 21st of March 2021 at 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Funeral Service will be held on 22nd of March 2021 at 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Brookside Funeral Home 13747 Eastex Freeway, Texas, 77039. Officiating, Reverend Richard Casillas.
