2021-12-18: A new marker was ordered by the UDC Battle of Bentonville #818 chapter.
2022-Feb: The new marker arrived and was installed by Willow Valley personnel. Bobbie Motley and Allison Gray of the UDC Battle of Bentonville #818 ordered and arranged for the installation. Many thanks to David Settles who set the new marker for us and Andy Poore of the Mooresville Library who wrote the letter to the Veterans Administration explaining the significance of keeping the original marker in a historic cemetery.
2022-Jun-25 11:00am A dedication service for the replaced monument was held at the gravesite by the UDC chapter, Battle of Bentonville #818.
