William Gene "Bill" Wohner Sr., Age 81 of Irvington, KY passed away at home on Saturday, March 20, 2021 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Springfield, KY on April 8, 1939 son of the late, Bertha Grigsby and Ester Wohner.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 9 of his siblings.

Bill was a U.S. Air Force Veteran; retired from Brandenburg Telephone Company after over 25 years; member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness of Irvington, he lived in service of Jehovah, he was an elder in the congregation for over 25 years, and a presiding overseer for 13 years. If you lived in or near Irvington, chances are he knocked on your door at one time or another.

He is survived by his: wife of over 45 years, Dorothy C. Wohner; children, Cindy Griffith of Louisville, Jeanette (Greg) Ford of Louisville, Lisa (Louie) Simmons of Irvington, Pamela (John) Peterson of Naples, FL, Annette (David) Smith of Louisville, Timmy (Lisa) Wohner of Louisville, Gene Wohner of LaGrange, KY; brother, Donald Wohner of Louisville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 4-7:00 P.M. EDT and Wednesday after 9:00 A.M. EDT Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Tommy Smith Officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Irvington, KY.
