Gerald E "Jiggs" Alger
Friday, October 28th, 1938 - Thursday, March 18th, 2021 (age 82)

Gerald E (Jiggs) Alger, age 82 peacefully passed away on March 18, 2021 at his home in Cedar City, Utah. Gerald was born on October 28, 1938 in Enterprise, Utah to Alva Don and Pearl Twin Barlocher Alger. He was the last of eight siblings.He attended School in Cedar City and went on to Southern Utah University and joined the National Guard.
He married Julia Rae Banks on July 21, 1961. Together they had five children.Gerald loved being up in the mountains especially camping, fishing and hunting with his boys. He worked all over the United States and finally settled in Cedar City, Utah where he worked in the mines, at Coleman and for the city. He was retired when he passed. He is survived by his wife Julia of 59 years, and their four children Gary, Angelina, Lance, and Jeff, 13 Grandchildren and 7 1/2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws and his son Eric.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday March 23, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Enterprise City Cemetery.
