Mrs. Jacqueline “Jackie” Benson Akin Wood 76, of Hermitage died Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Summit Medical Center.
Mrs. Wood was born December 19, 1944 in Nashville, to the late Jack Akin and the late Martha Benson Akin. Mrs. Wood was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist church. She was very into family genealogy and was an avid pet lover.
Survivors include her two sons, Joe (Cindy) Wallace Wood Jr. and Todd (Christy) Wood both of Hermitage, TN; four grandchildren, Jack Robert Wood of Cedar Hill, TN, Taylar Brooke Wood of Hermitage, TN, Brittany Danielle Wood of Hermitage, TN, and Robert Justin Knight of Murfreesboro, TN; three great-grandchildren Ethan Robert Wood, Evan Kenneth Wood, and Robert Asher Knight; Several cousins; and her beloved dogs, Honey and Rosie.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 PM at Pisgah Cemetery in the Hampshire community with Reverend Jeff Kane officiating.
