Funeral services honoring the life of Jackie “Fuzzy” Edward Rutherford, Sr., 67 of Noble, LA will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home Many Chapel. A visitation will be held for him beginning on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 8:00 AM until service time at 10:00 AM at the chapel with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Noble, Louisiana. Jackie was born on January 26, 1954 in Converse, LA to Edward Ray Rutherford and Bessie Rena (Meshell) Rutherford and he entered into rest on March 19, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Fuzzy was a member of the Blackhawks Motorcycle Club for over 34 years. While participating with the group he served 11 years as President, during which time he spent many charitable hours contributing to Sabine Parish by organizing many fundraisers including donating toys, clothes, and food for children in need. He was a lifetime member and elder of the Choctaw Apache Tribe of Ebarb. He also enjoyed many other activities throughout his lifetime such as stock car racing, hunting, and most importantly spending time with friends and family.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Veralyn (Etheridge) Rutherford of Noble, LA; his son, Jackie Rutherford, Jr. of Noble, LA; his brothers, Robert Curtis Rutherford & wife, Barbara of Noble, LA, Roger Dale Rutherford of Noble, LA, Dennis Rutherford & fiancé, Annette of Noble, LA and Richard Rutherford of Noble, LA. The true lights of “Fuzzy’s” eyes were his granddaughters, Karley Rutherford and Alba Rutherford. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

Serving him as pallbearers will be Todd Wadkins, Tommy Leone, Driston Rutherford, Riley Rutherford, Robert Rutherford, and James Meshell. Rickey Rivers will serve as honorary pallbearer.
