Once in a lifetime, you meet a man like Tim Patton and when you did your life was changed forever.
Timothy Ralph “Tim” Patton went to be with the Lord on Wednesday March 17th, 2021 near Peoria, Oklahoma. He was 59.
Tim was born May 18th, 1961 in Baxter Springs, Kansas to Henry and Lola Mae (Parkison) Patton.
He married Kay Harris June 12th, 1982 in Peoria, Oklahoma.
He attended First Christian Church in Miami, Oklahoma and was a ranch hand for Martin Livestock in Quapaw, Oklahoma. Tim was a true cowboy at heart and had lived in this area his whole life.
He loved shooting pool, Team Roping and livestock, but most of all he loved his family and he especially loved his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Kay of the home, one son Travis Patton of Tahlequah, OK, one daughter Callie and her husband Jason Harris of Bartlesville, OK, two sisters Jane and husband Rick Dugan of Bartlesville, OK, Martha and husband Curtis Schroeder of Quapaw, OK, two grandchildren Lanie (“Sweet Pea”) and Brody (“Bam Bam”).
You can’t describe the man Tim was without using words like loyal, hardworking, cheerful, funny, and devoted. The smile on his face could bring a ray of sunshine into any cloudy day. His heart, he wore on his sleeve and he was never ashamed of his tears or quivering lip. His jokes were the funniest – not because of the joke itself but because of his delivery. Many a time he’d get half-way through before stopping to restart and then, when he finally got to the end – forgot the punch line. He gave his time freely to his family and his friends, from digging ditches, to feeding and working livestock. If you needed help with anything, you could call Tim and he’d be there to help.
Tim was a man who knew the true meaning of the “unconditional love”. It was present in all his relationships.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 24th, 2021 at the First Christian Church in Miami, Oklahoma with Rev. Leon Weece officiating. Interment will follow at Seneca Cemetery .
