♡𝐈𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐲♡
Dexter, called "Mr Kitty" by my mother, was a house cat we had for a little under three years.
It all started in the summer of 2017, when we where dropping mom off for work. We saw a sign saying "FREE CAT". My mother jokingly asked my dad if we can have it. Me and my sister also jokingly asked dad but after dropping mom off work we expressed we actually wanted the cat.
So dad went to the mother and son whom was giving the cat away. Dad took the cat just so they could get out of the sun, me and my sister were so happy! I named him Dexter, after Dex Starr from the DC comic books. When we told mom the cat's name after she got off work, she thought the name didn't fit him so she started to call him Mr Kitty.
After bringing him home, he explored every inch of the house and met every animal in the house. The oldest cat at the time, Holly, didn't like him. But our two dogs, Bella and Gochi, loved him! He was such a loving cat. He bonded with my mother the most. When she went to bed, he was there with her. When she sat down, he was there. When mom was outside smoking, he was there!
He wasn't only loving to humans, but other cats as well! When we got Fireball and Jackie, he treated them like any other cat. But after Jackie kittens with Fireball, Dexter acted like a father figure to them! He was close to our kitten Spots
He was such a loving cat.....
In early February, Dexter went missing. We thought he would find his way home because this has happened more than once. But he never came back. When me and my sister were at school, our parents found his body.......
They think he was hit my a car and killed on impact, he was only about five years old. Mom was devastated.
Rest well Dexter, until we meet again.
