Barbara Nell Dennis, 82, surrounded by her beloved family went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 19, 2021, in Amarillo, TX. Her Celebration of Life Service will be held at the St. Andrew United Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 23 at 11:00 AM with Bruce Ridling, Pastor officiating.

Barbara was born September 27, 1938, in Erick, Oklahoma to William and Virgie Brown and moved to Borger in 1948. Barbara graduated from Borger High School in 1956. She worked for Davis Chevrolet, J.B. Watkins, and Hooks Brothers as a bookkeeper, but her favorite job of all was being Nanny for 33 years to her five grandkids. As a devout member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church she always found many ways to devote her time and services in any way she could.

Of course, you can't talk about Barbara without mentioning her denim quilts. Through the years she made over 1200, recycling thousands of jeans all while bringing joy and comfort to everyone that received them. ,

She is survived by her twin brother, Bill Brown and wife Joan of Brownsville, TX. Her children, Randy Franks and wife Sheryl of Borger, TX, Lori Hatton and husband Audie of Borger, TX. Her grandchildren, Jessica Swenn and husband Shane of Amarillo, TX, Zane Hatton of Dallas, TX, Zeb Hatton and wife Brooklynn of Azle, TX, Nathan and Janie Franks of Borger, TX. Her great-grandchildren, Jackson, Claire and Houston Swenn, Zayden and Olivia Hatton, and her special niece, Jill Knight "dill-pickle".

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons Zane Hatton, Zeb Hatton, and Nathan Franks; nephews David Brown and Will Brown.
