Albert W. Jones, 76, Battiest, died last Thursday at his home near Battiest.
Born Feb. 28, 1896, at Poteau, he had been a resident of the Battiest area about 11 years moving from Arizona. He was a retired timber worker and a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of the home; two sons, Wade of Shreveport and Henderson of Battiest; one half-brother, Jack Eslinger of Hot Springs, Ark; two half-sisters, Ruby Weston and Violet Andrews, both of Hot Springs; six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. today in the Battiest Baptist Church.
Arrangements and burial in the Bethel cemetery were under the direction of Norwood-Welch Funeral Home.
