Robin Mae Williamson, 49, died on Wednesday, May 9 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN.

She was born on January 28, 1952 at the same hospital to Edna (Cardinal) and Lyman Williamson. After graduating from Hayward High School, she attended the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and studied art. She spent many summers at the family owned resort, Cardinals Lodge on Trout Lake. Robin was an avid skier. Her love of skiing and adventure took her from instructing skiing at Telemark in Cable and Jackson Hole in Wyoming, to Houston, TX and Atlanta, GA, where she worked in the ski business for Oshman’s Sporting Goods.
Robin also lived in Alaska, where she enjoyed fishing and hunting. She welcomed family and friends to visit and share the state’s beauty. Robin will be remembered for her talents as an artist that took many forms—painting, drawing, sculpture, fabric art and flowers.

Robin is survived by her brother, Dr. Richard (Christine) Williamson of Sudbury, MA; brother, John (Sherry) Williamson, Madison; sister, Judy (Mark) Giacomino of Verona; significant other, Al Stauffer; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Her parents, Edna and Lyman Williamson, preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be held at the First Lutheran Church in Hayward on Friday, May 18 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. before the service on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Hayward Chapter of Fishing Has No Boundaries, P.O. Box 375, Hayward, WI 54843.
