Clara Ann Halme was born September 1, 1930, to Axel and Emma Lindberg in New England, North Dakota. She passed away peacefully in living faith March 16, 2021, in Yacolt, Washington,at 90 years of age.
Clara was married for 68 years to Glenn Halme and together they raised nine children. After living in numerous places, they last resided in Yacolt since 1990.
Clara was a loving and forgiving mother, grandmother, and friend who found great joy in serving and caring for others.
Clara was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, in which faith she cherished, and through the merits of Jesus Christ with the forgiveness of sins, she has won the imperishable crown of eternal life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Halme in 2016; her eldest daughter, Linda (Arnie) Hervi in 2018; and her 12 siblings, along with her parents.
Clara is survived by her eight remaining children, David (Genevieve) Halme, Peggy (Ken) Koskiniemi, Joy Halme, Steven (Lillian) Halme, Timothy (Michelle) Halme, Andrew (Carrie) Halme, Julie (Bob) Whitehorn, Brent (Lisa) Halme; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of brothers and sisters in faith.
Funeral service were held at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, Lewisville, Washington, March 20, 2021. Graveside service was at Elim Cemetery in Brush Prairie, Washington.
