Two Baptist Ministers; Grandson Must Carry On-

Rev. G.W. McDow, 90, a Baptist preacher in Stephens county for nearly 60 years, and George McDow, Baptist pastor at Allen, a son of Mr. and Mrs. H.Y. McDow and former Carnegie boy.
Final rites for the aged minister were at 2:30 Sunday, Feb. 20, in the Loco Baptist church after his death early Saturday. The preacher grandson assisted in the service. Burial was under auspices of the Loco Masonic lodge. A lifelong Mason, Mr. McDow had been chaplain of his home lodge for 45 years.
Born in Texas Sept. 26, 1859, Rev. McDow's parents were killed by Indians during his early childhood. He came to the Indian territory when about 30 years of age and soon after started his work as a minister. He retired two years ago. It is said he organized and helped start 37 Baptist churches during his active ministry.
