Charles Powell passed away at his home.

He was the son of the late Walter and Mellie Powell and the husband to the late Estell Powell.

He is survived as his son: Gary Livingston (Tammy); adopted daughter: Marie Straley; brothers: Jack Powell of Clinton, Iowa, Henry Powell of Anderson SC and Tommy Powell of North Carolina; sister: Barbara Jean Giddeon; grandchildren: Eric Livingston of Anderson, SC and Shelbi Livingston of Baton Rouge; great-grandchildren: Christopher Livingston of Honea Path and Bailey Livingston of Easley; as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by a son: Pete Powell; brother: Sherman Powell; sisters: Lucille Smith, Ruby Jennings, Lois Porter and Ann Lundsford.

A funeral service will be held at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 12pm with Tim Etters officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held prior to the service at the South Chapel on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 10am to 12pm.
