Winchester Newspaper Man Dies Suddenly Thursday From Too Much Sleeping Powders.

WINCHESTER, VA., Sept. 2. - Hunter Boyd Gold, 46, unmarried and member of a prominent family, died suddenly today from an accidental overdose of a bromidia prescription given by a physician recently to relieve insomnia incident to neuralgia. He had been under treatment several weeks ago in a Washington hospital for complications. Mr. Gold was a law graduate and was formerly deputy clerk of the county court and engaged in newspaper work. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and Winchester Lodge of Elks. Surviving are three brothers, Phil H. and John G. Gold, of Winchester, and Dr. E. T. Gold of Richmond, Va., and three sisters, Mrs. Frank B. Crawford and Miss Mary F. Gold, of Winchester, and Miss Margaret R. Gold, of Baltimore.
