Samuel V. Rodriguez, 75 of Lorain, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain, due to health complications.He was born October 22, 1945 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and came to Lorain as a child. Samuel retired from U.S. Kolbe Steel, after 32 yrs. and was currently employed for The Chronicle and The Morning Journal, as a paper carrier. He was a devoted father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren. Samuel enjoyed working on cars, playing his lottery tickets, taking on various DIY projects around the house and telling his funny stories and jokes. He will be deeply missed by family and friends and all who knew him.Samuel is survived by his daughter, Rachel A. Rodriguez (Young) and son, Samuel A. Rodriguez; grandchildren, Brandon A. Rodriguez and Darryl Q. Young Jr. both of Lorain; his companion, Josepha Olivencia; her children, Gloria, Nancy, Eddie and Phillip all of Lorain and Gilberto Jr. of Cincinnati.His family will receive friends at Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st, South Lorain, Tuesday, March 23 from 10 AM until 12 PM funeral service. Deacon, Rocky Ortiz of Sacred Heart Chapel will officiate.
