"Mrs. Ella Spork, 58, of 2708-163rd place, died yesterday morning at Crown Point sanatorium after a two year illness.
She is survived by her husband, William; three daughters, Mrs. Memia Bales of Hammond, Mrs. Laura Crowder of Lansing, and Mrs. Mamie Kirk of East Chicago; two sons, Richard E. and Bud of Hammond, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at the Emmerling chapel with Rev. Harry Stevens of Crown Point officiating. The body will be taken to Covington, Ind., for burial Saturday." - Hammond Times, Hammond, Indiana, February 19, 1936
