Robert Victor "Bob" Passerini, 82, of Transfer, formerly a longtime resident of Sharon, passed away early Saturday morning, March 13, 2021.

Mr. Passerini was born June 23, 1938, in Sharon, a son of the late Victor A. and Mary Rose (Maffei) Passerini. A lifelong area resident, he graduated from Sharon High School in 1957.

His wife of nearly 63 years, Mona R. (McGhee) Passerini, whom he married May 29, 1958, survives at home in Transfer.

Bob was employed by the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp., retiring as a draftsman in 1978.

An active member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon, Bob volunteered much of his time overseeing the general maintenance of the church, as well as assisting in the upkeep of the landscaping.

He also served on the Mercer County Election Board, and assisted in setting up the polling stations throughout the Shenango Valley.

An avid outdoorsman, Bob loved hunting, fishing, and taking long walks or hikes through the woods. He also enjoyed downhill and cross-country skiing during the winter months.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by a daughter, Victoria Passerini (Nick) Heath, Singapore; two sons, Mark Passerini, Lexington, S.C.; and Robert "Bob" (Jane) Passerini, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; a sister, Margaret "Peg" (Jim) Hansley, Masury, Ohio; six grandchildren, Mark (Irena), Justin (Ashley) and Antonio Passerini, Grayson Heath, Emma (Travis) Threadgill and Samuel "Sam" Winkenbach; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Passerini; and a sister, Mary Lou Brandon.

To celebrate his life, we have set up a Memorial Grove in Robert's name through an organization called Trees for a Change. The trees will be planted in a National Forest that was destroyed by wildfire. Robert's trees will help restore the beauty of the forest and will be a living tribute to him for years to come.

Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
