Funeral services for JAMES W. NEWCOMB, long time resident of Ardmore,
who died Saturday night at his home, 1009 Bixby, will be held at St.
Philip's Episcopal church this afternoon by Rev. George H. Quarterman,
rector. Arrangements are by Bettes funeral home. .
Mr. Newcomb was born Feb. 24, 1866 at Clifton, Tennessee and came to
Ardmore in 1902.

He was engaged in real estate and the oil business for years. He was a
life long member of the Episcopal church in which he was active at St.
Philip's.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Villulah Newcomb, he is survived by one son,
Thomas Newcomb, two granddaughters, Susand and Betsy Newcomb; six
sisters, Mrs. Bailey Schumpert of West Point, Miss., Mrs. H. M. Mcamis,
Mrs. Kelsey Bass, Mrs. Jane Hooker, and Miss Hattie Newcomb of Cornith,
Miss., and Mrs. J. T. Taylor of Beckley, West Virginia.
