He was a retired employee at GE and owner of the Mitchell Water Delivery Company and was a member at Stites Station Baptist Church.
Melvin leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Jeannie (Hunt) Miller; daughters, Sandra Hack (Mike), Brenda Brinley (James) and Melinda Justice (Ron); brothers, William Raymond Miller, Roscoe Miller and Joseph Miller; sisters, Doris Noble and Marie Jennie Blankenship; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Visiting for Mr. Miller will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Burial in the Roe Hill Road Cemetery
