He was born August 1, 1941, in Fulton County to Levi and Eva Day Long.

He enjoyed traveling and visiting his extended family. Roy retired from Hormel and was currently employed by Securitas. He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 siblings. He is survived by 14 nieces and nephews and other extended family.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 12:30pm at Boiling Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
