Shirley Fair Wickwire Hale, 81, Elizabethton passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021. She was an Elizabethton native and graduate of Elizabethton High School class of 1957. Shirley was very creative and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and painting. She was a doting Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Shirley was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. She was a true Southern Lady in style and grace.

Shirley was the daughter of the late Coy Fair and Ethel Perry Fair. She was preceded in death by two husbands Kenneth Wickwire and CM Hale, brothers Edwin Fair and Harold Fair, sisters Jeweldean Fair Estep and Betty Fair Spears; one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law.

Shirley was survived by daughters Debra Wickwire Presnell (Nashville) and husband Ronny Presnell and Kellee Wickwire Akers (Nashville) and husband Richard Akers. Grandchildren include Faith Presnell Couch and husband Eric Couch, Seth Presnell and wife Tracey Presnell, Lucas Akers, Natalie Akers, and Kate Akers, and three great-grandchildren Jaiden Couch, Mikaela Couch, and Levi Presnell. She is also survived by sisters Dorothy Fair Dykes (Goose Creek, SC) and husband Gerald Dykes, Anne Fair Ingram (Elizabethton) and husband Bill Ingram Jr, and sister-in-law Edna Fair (Telford). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and her church family members.

A private graveside service will be held at Happy Valley Memorial Park, Mausoleum of Peace.
