Michael Bryan Woods, 70, of Huffman, Texas passed away peacefully at his home Friday, March 12, 2021. He was born Saturday, June 24, 1950, in Houston, Texas to the late Bryan and Nancy Woods.

Michael joined the US Navy on November 14, 1968, serving his country for two years before being discharged. He spent his career after the Navy working in Maintenance he also attended culinary school and barber school. While he enjoyed watching the Wheel of Fortune, he also enjoyed his family and friends. Mike was always joking around and was in the center of the party.

Many would describe Michael as meticulous, and neat, but at the same time very laid back.

He was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father Bryan Woods, grandfather J Hugh Woods, grandmother Bessie Woods. His mother Nancy Woods, Grandmother Evie Smart, Grandfather Raymond Smart, Niece Stephanie Brauner, Nephews Jerry (Bubba) Blake, Bryan McCarty, his grandson Kyle Free, his best friend Conrad, and his mother-in-law Dettie Mae Blake.

He's survived by his loving wife of 20 years Jerry Woods; his children Briar Woods, Ronnie Matthews, and partner Roland, Joey Matthews (Shelly), Robin Graham (Paul), Cindy Matthews, and Keith Matthews. His Grandchildren April Ramirez, Adam Matthews, Eric Matthews, Brad Matthews, Sarah Matthews, Justin Free, Jeremy Free, Megan Pipkin, Katie Newcomb, Shelby Cady, Nikolaos Matthews, Emily Pierce, Haley Sanders, Keith Matthews Jr., Haden Matthews, and Abbey Matthews; His sisters Brenda Bissell and Shirlyn Sharp 15 great-grandchildren his niece Carolyn Blake Tolleson and two nephews Justin Brauner and Aaron Sharp.

Friends are invited to visit with the family Thursday, March 18, 2021, from 10:30 am until 11:30 am with a Funeral Service starting at 11:30 am in the Chapel of Stering~White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Road Highlands, TX. 77562.
