She attended New Salem and Pittsfield schools. In earlier years, she was employed at the Work Activity Center. She always enjoyed babysitting and continued that throughout her life. Chris was proud to be a Christian woman and enjoyed attending church at both Jacksonville Church of Christ and The Crossing. She loved her title as ‘Momma’ and ‘Grandma Chris’. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her kids and grandkids. Even though Chris was very opinionated and was ‘always right’, she was always ready to learn something new. She loved fishing, enjoyed knitting, crocheting, various arts and crafts and enjoyed watching the birds and spending time outdoors. Chris was an animal lover leaving behind her three Chihuahuas.
