Dolores ( Dee ) Ross Anderson, 92 years old of Knox, Indiana passed away on March12, 2021 at Pilgrim Manor in Plymouth, Indiana.
She was born Tuesday, June 5, 1928 in East Jordan, Michigan, Daughter of the late Glenn Ross and the late Inez Reed. She moved to Starke County as a small child and lived there her entire life.
Dee was a proud graduate of Knox High School in 1946. She had been a class officer and for 65 years she organized her class reunions.
On August 3, 1947 she married the love of her life Clarence (Bud) Anderson. He preceded her on May 7, 1974.
Dee was a member of The Women of the Moose Knox Lodge for 74 years and held many offices and degrees. She was also a member of the Knox American Legion Auxiliary, Red Hats, the Knox United Methodist Church, Republican Women, and the Knox-Center Township Fireman's Auxiliary.
Her interests included growing plants and flowers, playing bunco and bingo, cooking, and especially spending time with her daughters and their families. She hosted all the family holiday celebrations for many years and loved a good party.
Dee worked many different clerical and bookkeeping jobs over the years and retired from Production Credit Association.
Surviving are her daughters, Diann (Erland) Henry of Knox and Carol (Larry) Haug of Hamlet. She is survived by her grandchildren Andy (Krystal) Wakefield, Wendy (Mitchell) Semans, Rachel (John) Bowers, Ryan (Emily) Henry and step-granddaughter Margaret (Nick) Followell. She was the great-grandmother of 13 and great-great grandmother of 5 and one on the way, sister Sandy Manos, and brother Glenn Ross. She is also survived by special sisters-in-law Lillian Anderson and Betty Ross and loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bud Anderson, her sisters Vera Christensen and Phyllis Williams, and her brother Jack Ross.
