Diana Wilson, 60, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at her home.
She was born August 4, 1960 in Claremore, Oklahoma to James and Alice (Bruner) Watashe, Jr.
Diana was raised in the Sapulpa Area. She graduated in 1978 from Kellyville High School. Diana lived in Ada and moved to Shawnee in 1997 where she has since lived.
She worked at Pleasant Grove Schools for 15 years.
Diana married Melvin Wilson on April 4, 1997 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
She enjoyed going to Lake Eufaula and being out on the boat fishing. .
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Vincent Watashe and Dean Watashe.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin Wilson; 1 daughter, Erin Walker; 1 granddaughter, Aida Rain Walker; parents, Forrest and Vera Walker; 1 brother, Douglas Watashe; 4 sisters, Elizabeth Baker, Theresa Locust, Paulette Shade and Justina Jones; 3 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law, Wilma Colungo, Mary Tiger, Gladys and Danny Tiger; 4 brothers-in-law and 3 sisters-in-law, Calvin and Annie Wilson, Alvin and Nesha Wilson, Marvin and Carol Wilson, and Dewayne Mack; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends; with a special thanks to nieces, Emily Wheeler, Savannah Whitted and Alvina Barnes.
Wake Service was Thursday evening, March 18, 2021 at Wilson Family Home with Forrest Walker officiating. Burial was Friday morning, March 19, 2021 at Wilson Family Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
