Dwaine Paul Carr age 68 of San Angelo, died March 17, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.
Public Viewing will be on Sunday, March 21 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM with the family receiving visitors from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Fairmount Cemetery with Chaplain J.T. Tucker officiating.
Dwaine was born June 11, 1952 in San Angelo to Paul A. and Rose Marie Fields Carr.
On July 13, 1972 he married Georgia Ballard in San Angelo.
Dwaine had a strong work ethic and whether he was driving trucks in the oil field or hauling cattle he always showed up and got the job done whatever it may be. He was dedicated, hardworking and committed, not only to his jobs but also to his family.
Outside of work, Dwaine was a country boy. He preferred the simple things; fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family were his greatest joys in life.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dwaine is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Georgia; his children, Tammy Carr and husband Mike Dunn of Rowena, Kristie Herring and husband Tripp of Miles and Jason Carr of Wall; two brothers, Jeff Carr of Rankin and Douglas Carr of Iraan; eight grandchildren, Hannah Carr, Tymber Carr, Emily Carr, Bailey Carr, Ryan Dunn, Sidney Herring, Jaymie Herring and Reyse Herring; and his faithful canine companion, Molly, his chihuahua given to him by his grandchildren.
