Ronald L. "Ron" Black, 73, of Duncansville, passed away peacefully at his home March 8, 2021. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Archie S. and June V. (Layton) Black.

Surviving are his sister, Constance L. Black; his brother, Paul E. Black; nieces and nephews: Carol Ann Black, Lauren Monahan and Matthew Black; and his great-nieces and nephews: Meganne S. Diehl, Courtney M. and Hannah J. Lange.

Ron was a life member of the Duncansville VFW Auxiliary, a life member of the Bavarian Aid Society, American Legion and a member of the Blair County Veterans Honor Guard having served over 200 funeral honors. He retired from Warnaco as a supervisor and was a custodial engineer at the Duncansville VFW Post 8724. Ron served in the U.S. Navy from 1968-70 and retired from the National Guard as a Sergeant.

Graveside military burial honors will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021, at Alto Reste Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the funeral home or to Ron's family to be applied to funeral expenses.
