Barbara Jean Davis Boblitt, 75, of Chaplin, wife of Gerald Dewayne Boblitt, passed away March 16, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY. Born July 6, 1945, Barbara was the daughter of the late Evin and Dorothy Terrell Davis.

A former employee of General Electric in Frankfort, Barbara was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Tatum Springs. One of her greatest loves was her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, playing cards and games with friends.

Including Gerald her husband, Barbara is survived by Gerald Lyn (wife Grace) Boblitt of Chaplin, Angela (husband Pedro) Castillo of Willisburg, and Greg (wife Autumn) Boblitt of Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, Kyle Boblitt, Zachary Boblitt, and Lauren Boblitt; a brother, Allen (wife Sadie) Davis of Lawrenceburg; and a sister-in-law, Margie Davis of Chaplin. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Elton Davis.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 20th beginning at 1:00 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin, KY. Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Friday and 11 – 1 Saturday.
